THE HIGHER DIPLOMA IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

There are now 8 subjects in the Higher Diploma curriculum. Students must pass five subjects, and successfully complete a research-based Dissertation to the satisfaction of the examiners in order to attain this qualification.

STUDENTS SHOULD NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

1. Research Methods is a compulsory subject
2. You have to choose at least TWO subjects from the HR Management Column
3. You have to choose at least ONE subject from the Business Column
4. A Higher Diploma will only be conferred on a student who has done a dissertation.

There are only two possible combinations i.e. 3 HR subjects and 1 Business plus Research Methods OR 2 HR subjects and 2 Business subjects plus Research Methods.

Students should note that at the Higher Diploma level, considerably more detail, insight, research and thought are required than at Diploma level.

DURATION
Approximately two years, which includes time to research and write up the Dissertation. NOTE that a Higher Diploma student may not embark upon the Dissertation until the subject Research Methods has been passed.
